Doster begins renovation at UAB Hospital Highlands

Birmingham-based Doster Construction Company recently began working on renovations to UAB Hospital Highlands in downtown Birmingham. The 3,500 square foot renovation will convert the existing sports medicine gym to seven new exam rooms. The exam rooms were modeled after the exam rooms that were recently completed at the new Whitaker Clinic of UAB Hospital. – News release

A sneak peek at new Mercedes HQ in Atlanta

Mercedes-Benz USA provided a sneak peek recently of its new Atlanta headquarters. The company is expected to open the new 200,000-square-foot headquarters at 6480 Barfield Road in Sandy Springs in the second quarter of 2018, where it will employ up to 1,000, the company said when construction began in September 2016. – BizJournals

The three biggest newspapers in Alabama have a message for their readers: "Stand for Decency, Reject Roy Moore." The Alabama Media Group stripped the editorial across its Sunday front pages. Qualis Corp. about to mark 25 years in Huntsville

For more than two decades Qualis Corp. has been a staple business in Huntsville, working in federal contracts with NASA and defense agencies. Qualis CEO Elizabeth Morard, one of the company's founders, says she pursued starting her own company because of the women on the Huntsville business scene blazing the way before her. She and business partner Mary Engel, who is retired now, began Qualis Corp. in 1993. Morard had worked for a NASA contractor and Engel for the Army. – AL.com
