Hyundai boosts WaiveCar with 400 new vehicles

A startup that is merging electric car-sharing with on-car advertising is getting a major boost from Hyundai. WaiveCar, which rents ad-laden cars for free, will add 400 Hyundai Ioniq vehicles to its fleet by the end of next year. Guardian buying two SouthCrest branches in Alabama

SouthCrest Financial Group Inc. will sell its two branches in Alabama and all related deposits and assets to Guardian Credit Union. The Woodstock, Ga.-based parent company of SouthCrest Bank reported Montgomery-based Guardian Credit Union will pay a 5 percent deposit premium on the total deposits transferred, which are expected to be about $45 million. – BizJournals.com

Pipeline company starts scholarship fund

A company constructing an interstate natural gas pipeline is donating $50,000 to fund 100 scholarships for students at Chattahoochee Valley Community College in Phenix City. The Sabal Trail Transmission's grant to the CVCC Foundation will generate 20 $500 scholarships per year for the next five years. – APT
