Honda shifting production mix at Alabama plant

Honda Motor Co. is shifting around its North American vehicle production mix and may raise imports from Japan to squeeze out more crossovers as it struggles to keep up with strong U.S. demand for larger models -- a factor that has prompted the automaker to trim its annual sales forecast. Beginning early next year, Honda will dedicate production at its Alabama plant to the Pilot crossover, Ridgeline pickup truck and Odyssey minivan. – Automotive News

Trump says he’ll dismantle banking regs

During his presidential campaign, Republican Donald Trump said he would "get rid of" Dodd-Frank — the sweeping legislation passed in 2010 to address problems underlying the 2008-2009 financial crisis. Now President-elect Trump's transition team is promising to "dismantle" the complex Dodd–Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. – APR.org

Regions makes donation to help injured military

Birmingham-based Regions Financial Corp. donated $11,000 to a program for severely injured military at the Lakeshore Foundation Thursday. The foundation began its Lima Foxtrot programs in 2006 to provide severely injured military and veterans with year-round sports and fitness programs. – AL.com

Hand Arendall to be anchor tenant at Historic Fed

Law firm Hand Arendall will relocate its Birmingham office to be the anchor tenant in the redeveloped Historic Federal Reserve building in downtown Birmingham. The firm will move from its current location at 2001 Park Place N. in early 2017. The space in the Federal Reserve building will include a mock-trial courtroom. – AL.com

Honda Manufacturing of Alabama turns 15

Honda Manufacturing of Alabama will mark its 15th anniversary in Alabama next week. The company employs more than 4,500 Alabama associates at its engine and vehicle assembly plant in Lincoln. HMA currently has the annual capacity to produce more than 340,000 vehicles and V-6 engines, making it Honda’s largest light truck production source. – News release
