Norwegian shipping company guilty of dumping oil waste

A Norwegian shipping firm was found guilty in federal court earlier this month of dumping about 20,000 gallons of oil waste into the sea and trying to hide it from inspectors. Det Stavangerske Dampskibsselskap attempted to conceal the discharge of the oil waste byproduct and the oil-contaminated wastewater from the U.S. Coast Guard, a jury found. – AL.com

Vulcan Vape’s three stores sold to Florida firm

Vulcan Vape has been sold to a Florida vaporizer distributor and retailer called Vapor Corp. (NASDAQ:VPCO), and the chain is planning a bigger footprint in Alabama. Vulcan Vape has three locations: Nashville, Atlanta and Birmingham. Birmingham's location is off of Central Avenue in Homewood. – AL.com
