Walcott Adams Verneuille Architects welcomes Anna Fogarty as an interior designer. Fogarty has eight years of experience.

The First National Bank has elected John Ramage as president and CEO, and Rhonda Peters was named CFO of the Brundidge-based bank. Ramage succeeds his father, James Ramage III, who will continue as chairman of the board.

Regions Bank has created a new Business and Community Banking line led by Joe DiNicolantonio.

ServisFirst Bank Pensacola has added new members to its board of directors. They are Matt Durney and Robert "Sandy" Sansing. Durney is president and principal of Durney Properties and Sansing owns multiple auto dealerships, including Southern Chevrolet in Foley and Sansing Ford/Lincoln in Daphne.

Transworld has added Tom Jung as an advisor, it coordinate the company’s marketing and public relations efforts.

Dunn Building Co. LLC has promoted Ryan Ferris to senior project manager/estimator. In addition, the firm has appointed Terry Ryan as its newest superintendent.

Hoar Construction LLC has named Luther Cochrane to be vice chairman of its board of directors.

Raytheon Co.'s board of directors has elected Thomas Kennedy executive vice president, chief operating officer. Daniel Crowley has been named president of Raytheon Integrated Defense Systems. Lynn Dugle has been named president of Raytheon Intelligence, Information and Services. John Harris II has been named vice president and general manager of IIS.

Tubelite Inc. has hired Scott Dooley as a client development manager working with clients in Alabama and in Florida's Panhandle.

Maobing Tu, an assistant professor in the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences at Auburn University, has received a $401,155 National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development Award for his research in biofuels and bioenergy. In addition, Joseph Eakes, Jimmy and Chris Pursell endowed professor of the Department of Horticulture, was named the 2013 Outstanding Educator of the Year by the PLANET Academic Excellence Foundation.

Golf Academy of America has named its advisory board. They are: Steve Braley, Mark Darnell, Perry Dickey, Cathy Harbin, Jason Helman, Brent Krause, Steve Napoli, Jock Olson, Cindy Rarick, Brad Redding, Paul Reinking, Todd Sones and Mike Tinkey.

Eric Jack has been named dean of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Business. Jack has been with UAB since 2001.

Alfa Insurance has named David Christenberry regional marketing vice president for south Alabama and Tim Timmons regional marketing vice president for north Alabama. In addition, Jacob Vail of Birmingham was named Alfa's Alabama Agent of the Year for 2012 and Alabama Achiever of the Year. The company also named Dusty Ellison, of Pelham, Alabama Manager of the Year for 2012.

IL Group has added Anthony Box to its executive team as regional vice president of sales.  IL also has named Kathy Boston as its new national client relations manager. In addition, Amy Cherry has been promoted to regional vice president.

ProAssurance Corp. Vice Chairman Victor Adamo has decided not to stand for re-election to the board due to his planned retirement. Adamo's last day will be May 22. He has served ProAssurance and its predecessor companies for 28 years.

Gov. Robert Bentley has appointed Homeland Security Director Spencer Collier as secretary of the newly created Alabama State Law Enforcement Agency.

Joe Campbell has joined Baker Donelson Bearman Caldwell & Berkowitz as a shareholder and a member of the firm's Health Law Department. He will be based in Huntsville.

Meghan Cox and Evan Baggett have joined Carr Allison's Birmingham office as associates. The firm has named six attorneys as shareholders. They are: Bricker Daughtrey, W. Walker Moss, Jessica Housch Silinsky, Faith Nixon, Keith Rivers and R. Justin Sherer. In addition, the firm has elected seven attorneys as counsel to the firm. They are: Justin Hale, Kristi Hobbs, Joseph Isbell, Sarah Blackwood, Jonathan Maples and E. Glenn Smith Jr.

Marketing 24/7 CEO Ruwena Healy has earned an honorable mention in the 2013 Enterprising Women of the Year Awards from Enterprising Women magazine.

Big Communications has promoted Libby Romano to director of digital strategy and hired Nathan Stuckey as director of account services.

Mandy Mahoney has been named president of the Southeast Energy Efficiency Alliance. He replaces Michael Mills, who has led the organization over the past two years.

YMCA of Greater Birmingham has named Stan Law as its first new president/CEO in 16 years.

ARC Realty Group LLC has been formed by Tommy Brigham, Beau Bevis, Mechelle Wilder and Dale McIntyre. The realty company was launched in late 2012.

David Ball has joined The Dobbins Group LLC as principal to lead its new multi-family acquisitions division.

Chris Stewart has been named executive director of The Arc of Jefferson County. Stewart replaces the retiring Bill Hoehe. Stewart has served as CFO for The Arc since 1999.

Verizon Wireless has named Norma Moreno-Bernal associate director, indirect sales for the Houston/Gulf Coast Region. Moreno-Bernal has more than 14 years of wireless industry sales experience.

Julianne Lowman, marketing director of the Decatur Parks & Recreation/Point Mallard Park, and Sandra Killen-Burroughs, membership and legislative liaison with the North Alabama Tourism Association, received certification as Travel Marketing Professionals (TMP) after completing a three-year program of the Southeast Tourism Society Marketing College. 

Averitt Express has honored associate Marion Martin of Saraland for 20 years of safe driving. Martin drives for the Mobile-area facility.
