Larry Mack has been named deputy director of the Office of Human Capital at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville. Mack has more than 20 years’ experience in this field.
ServisFirst Bank has promoted Jim Holtkamp to first vice president, commercial banking, and Misty Hall to branch officer, Research Park Banking Center. In addition, Denise Armstrong, loan assistant in the Huntsville branch, has been named the 2015 Chamber of Commerce of Huntsville/Madison County Most Valuable Employee in the medium category.
Regions Bank announced that Alan McKnight has joined Regions Wealth Management as chief investment officer and that John Parker has been named head of Regions Institutional Services. In addition, Regions Financial Corp., parent of Regions Bank, has elected its board directors, including George Bryan, Carolyn Byrd, David Cooper Sr., Don DeFosset, Eric Fast, O.B. Grayson Hall Jr., John Johns, Ruth Ann Marshall, Susan Matlock, John Maupin Jr., Charles McCrary and Lee Stylsinger III. Also, James Malone has retired from the board after serving since 1994.
Transworld Business Advisors, of Birmingham, announced its affiliation with Rick Owen. He will focus on the Central Alabama region.
Jessika Kirkland, visual communications expert with FastSigns of Mobile, has completed a sales boot camp training program at the company's corporate headquarters in Dallas.

Michael Thompson, president and CEO of Thompson Tractor Co. Inc., has been named the Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama Cornerstone Award winner for 2015.

Wallace State Community College President Vicki Hawsey Karolewics has been named The Cullman Times 2015 Distinguished Citizen of the Year.
Joel Anderson, chairman and director of Anderson Companies, has been awarded an honorary bachelor of business administration degree from the University of North Alabama. In addition, Charles Anderson Sr., an entrepreneur, philanthropist and alumnus of UNA, was presented the national 2015 Horatio Alger Award from the Horatio Alger Association.
Snead State Community College Foundation appointed Bobbie Glassco, of Horton, to its board of directors.
John Beehler has been named the 12th president of Jacksonville State University. He succeeds William Meehan, who retires at the end of this month and held the post for 16 years.
Auburn University at Montgomery's Scharff-Olson Kinesiology Lab Professor Michele Olson has been named to Shape magazine's advisory board.
Auburn University Professor Bruce Tatarchuk, of the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering, has been honored with the Southeastern Conference's Auburn University Faculty Achievement Award for 2015.
University of Alabama Professor Walt Enders is the 2015 recipient of the Burnum Distinguished Faculty Award. Enders is a professor of economics in the Culverhouse College of Commerce.
Thompson Engineering has added Johnny Carr, Greg Lowe and Matt Chelette to its Birmingham team.
