Biotech meets the suds

Researcher and entrepreneur Peyton McNully, who has created a business propagating yeast for beer production, has added the state's largest brewer, Back Forty Beer Co. in Gadsden, to his client list. Gulf Shores beach named "superstar" for water  cleanliness

An environmental survey of the nation's beaches found that many are contaminated beyond "safe to swim" levels, but listed Gulf Shores' beach as among the handful of "superstars" that have met clean water standards for five years.
