Who's moving up?

Max Coblentz

Max Coblentz has joined ServisFirst Bank in Montgomery as vice president, commercial lending.

Reauchann Richardson, an analyst at Forensic Strategic Solutions, has earned her Certified Fraud Examiner credential.

Ashley Taylor, with Jackson Thornton, has been named the 2017 Outstanding Young Alumnus by Auburn University Montgomery College of Business.

Steven Barranco, of Warren Averett, has been appointed to serve a four-year term on the Alabama State Board of Public Accountancy. 

Business Services

ESS, a national background screening provider, has added Brandt LaPish as vice president of marketing.

Mary Gormandy White, co-founder and director of talent development for MTI Business Solutions, has earned the PXT Select Certified Professional designation.

Kaisa Schmidt has been promoted to vice president of marketing and public relations for DeAngelis Diamond.

America's First Federal Credit Union recognized 22 employees who have hit milestone work anniversaries. Education

Columbia Southern University President Robert Mayes has been awarded the Distinguished Service Award from the Distance Education Accrediting Commission.

Jim Walker, the first director of music at Wallace State Community College, was honored by the Country Music Association Foundation at its CMA Music Teachers of Excellence ceremony.

Chad Bevis has joined the Swift Industrial Power team in Birmingham as a customer service representative.

Lewis Copeland Jr.

 

Southern Earth Sciences Inc. of Mobile has promoted Lewis Copeland Jr. to president. He replaces William Brenner. The firm also named three vice presidents and regional managers: Matt Coaker for Alabama/Mississippi, Mark Wilson for Florida and Mike Juneau for Louisiana. Also Logan Fowler was named Panama City branch manager.

Alabama Securities Commission Director Joseph Borg has been presented the Wilford S. Bailey Award from the Auburn University Retiree Association.

Ricardo DonAlexis has become the newest advisor at Innovative Financial Solutions.

Kelley & Mullis Wealth Management has added Matt Fetner as financial advisor.

Regions Securities LLC has hired Gene Bowles and Daniel Hoverman as managing directors in its Corporate Finance Group.

Ellie Taylor, president of the Alabama Grocers Association, received the 2017 Donald H. MacManus Award from The Food Marketing Institute.

Shoal Ambulance has promoted Eric Messer to vice president of operations. 

Hospitality

Commonwealth Hotels has promoted Denise Arnold to sales specialist at four of its Alabama properties, Homewood Suites Mobile-East Bay-Daphne, Hilton Garden Inn Mobile East Bay/Daphne, Hampton Inn Mobile-East Bay/Daphne and Hampton Inn Mobile-I-10/Bellingrath Gardens.

LBA Hospitality has promoted Farrah Adams to chief operating officer.

FCCI Insurance Group has promoted Tiffany Hawkins to regional vice president and Trey Stone to assistant vice president in the Gulf Coast Regional office.

Two employees of the American Equity Underwriters Inc., John Martone and Ryan LeVeque, have been named to the board of directors of the Longshore Claims Association. In addition, AEU’s Managing Director Rob Stuardi has been elected vice chair of the Industry Partners Committee for the Shipbuilders Council of America.

Katisha Vance has been elected to the board of ProAssurance Corp. In addition, Samuel Di Piazza and Robert Flowers were re-elected to the board. Each will serve three-year terms.

Lightfoot, Franklin & White LLC Partner Johnny Johnson has been named a National Law Journal Energy & Environmental Trailblazer for 2017. In addition, Partner Kevin Clark has been named to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Birmingham MS Leadership Class of 2017. 

Armbrecht Jackson LLP announced that Timothy Heisterhagen has become a partner in the firm. In addition, Robert Walker has joined the firm.
