Judson College’s 80-acre campus, in Marion, is among the most beautiful in the world, according to Christian Universities Online. Judson College is the only women’s college in Alabama. It is an Alabama Baptist Convention-affiliated school. Pictured is Jewett Hall, which had the misfortune of burning down twice. This version of the building was completed in 1951.
Adtran Inc. was one of the winners for the Fixed Network Infrastructure Innovation Award at the Global Telecoms Business Innovation Awards held in London. Adtran was recognized for its project with TalkTalk Business, which uses Adtran’s NetVanta 6310 IP Business Gateways.
Brasfield & Gorrie, one of the state’s largest construction firms, has earned awards from Associated Builders and Contractors of Alabama, including the Platinum Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) Award, the Safe Day Gold Award, the Fleet Safety Award and two Innovation in Safety Awards.
Bronstein’s Fine Furniture, in Mobile, and McCurry Furniture Co., in Warrior, have been named to the 10th annual Home Accents Today 50 Retail Stars for 2014 by the editors of the trade magazine. Bronstein’s was founded in 1980 and McCurry was founded in 1917.
Marshall County-based Citizens Bank & Trust and Auburn National Bank, in Auburn, have been ranked among the nation’s top 200 publicly-traded community banks by American Banker Magazine. Auburn ranked no. 136 and Citizens ranked no. 151.
Jackson Thornton Asset Management, of Montgomery, has been ranked 18th of the Top 100 Fee-Only Wealth Management Firms in the nation by CNBC. The firm has more than $900 million in assets under management and advisement.
Point Mallard Waterpark, in Decatur, has been ranked No. 11 in BuzzFeed’s 14 Greatest Water Parks in America. The park has a wave pool, speed slides and sandy beach.
Quest Group LLC, an advertising, public relations and special events firm in Birmingham, has received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise by the Women’s Business Enterprise Council South. The firm was founded by Cindy Hodo and Kathy Keene in 1995.
The Westin Birmingham has attained AAA’s Four Diamond Rating. The Westin is a Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. company.
Wilkins Miller Hieronymus LLC, with offices in Mobile and Fairhope, has been accepted as a member of The Financial Consulting Group, the largest professional organization of independently owned valuation, consulting and forensic accounting firms.
