Judge Roy Moore says no gay marriages

Alabama appeared set within hours to become the 37th state where gays can legally wed, prompting one couple to pitch a tent outside a courthouse even as the state's chief justice made an 11th hour bid to keep the weddings on hold Monday. ULA chief talks about Decatur’s rocket future

Tory Bruno, chief executive officer of Colorado-based United Launch Alliance, spoke with The Decatur Daily last week about the successes and challenges faced by ULA's 1,000-employee Decatur rocket plant. Lawyer: Harper Lee ‘humiliated’ over fracas

The announcement last week that “To Kill a Mockingbird” author Harper Lee would release a second novel after a more than 50-year hiatus prompted concerns that the 88-year-old author was not in any condition to authorize the publication of the novel, titled “Go Set a Watchman.” The literary icon’s lawyer has rebutted those suggestions, claiming that Lee was “extremely hurt and humiliated” at the suggestion that she had been duped. – New York Times

Fletcher Majors selected for Realtor award

The Realtors Land Institute recently recognized Alabama Realtor Fletcher Majors as the recipient of the 2014 Robert C. Meeks, ALC Distinguished Service Award. The official recognition ceremony will take place at the 2015 National Land Conference in Tucson, Arizona on March 23-25. – AL.com
