The State of Alabama has won a Silver Shovel award from Area Development for economic development projects landed in 2015. In addition, Polaris’ ATV plant was named one of Area Development’s Automotive Projects of the Year.
BIS Office Systems has been awarded the 2016 Excellence in Customer Service Award from Copystar, a Kyocera company. This is the second consecutive year BIS has received the award.
For a fourth consecutive year, graduates from Calhoun Community College’s Medical Laboratory Technician program have posted a 100 percent passage rate on the American Society of Clinical Pathology Board of Certification licensure exam.
U.S. News & World Report has once again ranked Children’s of Alabama among the best children’s hospitals in the nation, with eight of the hospital’s pediatric specialty services ranked among the top 50 in the U.S. It is the seventh consecutive year Children’s has been ranked.
EWTN Global Catholic Network, based in Irondale, has received the Capax Dei award at the Mirabile Dictu International Catholic Film Festival for its original movie “Kateri.”
Alabama Attorney General Luther Strange presented Maynard Cooper and Gale with the top award in the Alabama Legal Food Frenzy competition. The 62 law firms that participated in the competition donated 140,000 pounds of food to benefit food banks throughout the state.
Motion Industries, headquartered in Alabama, has received the Timken Bearing Certified Shop Platinum Level for 2016 for its service center in Pensacola, Florida. In addition, Shuster Corp., a division of Motion Industries in Maryland, is celebrating its 100 anniversary.
Regions Bank has received the highest overall score and the highest score among customers in the Reputation Institute’s annual survey of U.S. banks, reported in the American Banker Magazine.
ServisFirst Bank was ranked eighth out of 217 eligible institutions in American Banker’s list of Midtier Performers with $2 billion to $10 billion in assets in the U.S. The ranking is based on three-year average returns on equity for 2013-2015.
Synergy Laboratories Inc., of Mobile, has met all criteria for Laboratory Accreditation by COLA, a non-profit physician-directed organization promoting excellence in medicine and patient care.
Toyota Motor Manufacturing Alabama is celebrating its 15th year in Huntsville. As of mid-June, it has produced more than 4.5 million engines at the plant, and it is the only Toyota engine plant in the world to produce 4-cylinder, V6 and V8 engines under one roof.
United Bank has received a 5-Star Superior rating for strength and security from BauerFinancial, an independent bank rating firm. The ranking was based on the bank’s March 31st financial results.
