The Redstone Gateway Building 1100 (pictured in middle) has achieved LEED Silver status. Corporate Office Properties Trust owns the 120,000-square-foot office building in Huntsville, completed by Hoar Construction, and it was one of the first three buildings constructed at Redstone Gateway development.
The National Association of Attorneys General has honored the Alabama Attorney General’s Office with its Best Brief Award. The award is for the brief prepared in the U.S. Supreme Court case Alabama Department of Revenue v. CSX Transportation Inc. and was written by Solicitor General Andrew Brasher and Deputy Solicitor General Megan Kirkpatrick.
The Association of Public and Land-grant Universities has designated Auburn University as an Innovation and Economic Prosperity University.
For a third consecutive year, graduates of Calhoun Community College’s Clinical Lab Technician program have posted a 100 percent passage rate on the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board of Certification licensure exam.
Gulf States Engineering Inc., of Mobile, has been awarded its second annual Engineering Innovation Award for FireFinder XLS fire alarm panel by Siemens Building Technologies Division. The panel was installed in Airbus America’s final assembly facility at Mobile Aeroplex at Brookley.

Priority Ambulance, which serves several communities in North Alabama, has logged a milestone. It currently transports more than 100,000 patients per year across its six-state footprint.
Robins & Morton has been presented with a Sustainability Circle of Excellence Award from Waste Management for its recycling and diversion performance system. So far in 2015, Robins & Morton has diverted more than 10,000 tons of construction and demolition waste from landfills, according to Waste Management’s Diversion and Recycling Tracking Tool, an online tracking system.
St. Vincent’s One Nineteen is celebrating its 10th anniversary and has announced an expansion.
Troy University’s Office of Information Technology has been awarded the Best Security Team in the United States award at the 2015 SC Awards gala in California. Troy was one of 600 nominees and the only university to be considered for the award. It is the third time the university had been nominated.
United Way of Southwest Alabama has earned a four-star rating from Charity Navigator for its sound fiscal management practices and commitment to accountability and transparency.
