Airbus Americas has named Mark Smith and Darren Gates to its management team for the A320 family assembly line in Mobile. Smith is the manager of health, safety and environmental and Gates is facilities manager.

Daryl Spears has been named senior vice president, commercial real estate and Brandon Culver has been named assistant vice president, branch manager at Aliant Bank. Spears has 13 years of banking experience and Culver has 10 years in the Birmingham market.
America’s First Federal Credit Union has announced the following promotions and reassignments: Shirley Lochamy was promoted to senior vice president-sales and service; Alan Stabler was promoted to senior vice president-loan administration-general counsel, and Phil Boozer is now vice president-public relations and sales.
Brett Laney and Kate Russell, of financial services firm Edward Jones in Tuscaloosa, have received the firm’s Client Service Excellence award for their region. The honor was based on the results of a survey in which random clients were asked to rank the service they had received.
Chase, the consumer and commercial banking business of JPMorgan Chase & Co., has promoted Mark Bensabat to lead its middle market banking business in the Southeast. He will oversee teams who serve Southeast businesses with $20 million to $500 million in annual sales.

ABC Supply Co. Inc. has presented Curtis Neal the 2012 Ken Hendricks Award, an award recognizing excellence in performance and improvement. Neal is the manager of the building products distributor's Huntsville branch.
CH2M Hill, a global consulting, design, construction and operations firm, has awarded the George Warren Fuller Award for exceptional service to Tom Walters for his service to the Alabama-Mississippi Section of American Water Works Association. The AWWA is the largest nonprofit, scientific and educational association dedicated to safe and sustainable water.

Calhoun Community College has named two new members to its administrative staff. Bryan Helms serves as vice president for financial and administrative services and Donna Estill is dean for humanities and social sciences.
Kelli Etheredge, teacher and learning resources director for St. Paul’s Episcopal School in Mobile, has been honored as a top five nominee for the National Bammy Awards presented by the Academy of Education Arts and Sciences International.
Steve Duke has been named associate dean for academics at Auburn University's Samuel Ginn College of Engineering. He will be responsible for overseeing the college's academic programs.
The Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants has named Auburn University Montgomery Accounting Professor Judy Kamnikar its 2013 Outstanding Educator of the Year. Kamnikar has been at AUM for more than 25 years and is nationally recognized in her field of governmental accounting.
Education Corp. of America has named Deb Lenart president and chief operating officer. Lenart will be responsible for Virginia College, Golf Academy of America, Ecotech Institute and Virginia College Online.

Information Transport Solutions Inc., of Wetumpka, has shifted from an owner-operator business model to an executive leadership model and has named a CEO, CFO and COO. Steve Meany, with 27 years of experience, was named CEO. Quincy Minor, formerly vice president of operations, will transition to COO. Jeff Drury, who has been CEO/CFO since 2009, is now CFO.
Hand Arendall LLC member Joe Basenberg has been appointed by Gov. Robert Bentley to the district judgeship for Mobile County, filling the vacancy created by the retirement of Judge Charles McKnight.
