Warrior Met expects to hit stock exchange today

Warrior Met Coal Inc. announced today the pricing of its initial public offering of 16,666,667 shares of its common stock at $19 per share on Wednesday. The shares are expected to begin trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol “HCC” today. – BusinessWire

Vote to unionize Auburn GE plant put on hold

The Auburn-Opelika News is reporting that a vote to unionize Auburn's GE Aviation production and maintenance employees will not take place after the union withdrew a petition requesting the vote. At least 30 percent of plant's employees wanted union representation, the paper reported. The petition requesting the vote had been submitted to the National Labor Relations Board. The vote was scheduled to take place today. – AL.com

Honda selects Goodgame to manage expansion work

Goodgame Company Inc. has been selected as the Construction Manager for the $85 million expansion at Honda Manufacturing of Alabama in Lincoln. The expansion work is expected to be completed in 2018 and will add 200,000 square feet to HMA’s facilities. – News release

A peek at second hotel in Birmingham’s Empire Building project

The old Alagasco building on 1st Avenue North is finally getting a makeover as it transforms into a Marriott-branded hotel as part of the $45 million Empire Building hotel project. The Empire Building at 1928 1st Ave. is nearly ready to open as the Empire Hotel. Buford, Ga.'s Ascent Hospitality is leading the project, including renovating the adjoining buildings, the former Toby's building and the former Alagasco building. – AL.com

Hager Oil Co. of Jasper bought by Ohio company

One of the largest private companies in Cincinnati, Ohio has purchased an Alabama-based oil company. RelaDyne purchased Jasper-based Hager Oil Co. Financial details of the deal weren’t disclosed. – BizJournals.com
