Hartmann, Blackmon & Kilgore PC has promoted Rachel Godwin to director of accounting and audit services.
L. Page Stalcup III, a partner with Wilkins Miller, has been appointed a member of the board for the Ad Hoc Committee for City Revenue and Growth Analysis Board for the City of Mobile. Blake Ethredge, a senior accountant with the firm, has been awarded the Certified in Financial Forensics credential by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Scott Browning, who has 17 years experience, was named a partner in the firm.
Deborah Barnhart, CEO of the U.S. Space & Rocket Center, has been presented the Honeywell Hometown Heroes Award for her work with middle school math and science teachers as part of the Honeywell Educators @ Space Academy initiative.
The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics has honored Bill Emrich with its 2015 Engineer of the Year award for his innovative nuclear propulsion research and testing at NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville.
Vulcan Materials Co. has elected Elaine Chao and Thomas Fanning to its board of directors. With these additions, Vulcan’s board is now made up of 13 members, 11 of whom are independent.
Gresham, Smith and Partners has named J. Robert Murphy Jr. senior vice president in charge of the firm’s Birmingham office.

Iberiabank Corp. has named Julie Penn assistant vice president and branch manager of its Fairhope branch. Penn has eight years’ experience in the financial industry.
Harrison Morris has been named CEO of ServisFirst Bank in Dothan, and Steve McCarroll has been named to its board of directors.
Berkadia, an investment banking and research company, has named David Wilson senior investment advisor in its Birmingham office. Wilson has more then 25 years of experience.
Diatherix Laboratories Inc., of Huntsville, has appointed Ruth Brinkley to its board of directors. Brinkley is president and CEO of KentuckyOne Health.
America's First Federal Credit Union has promoted Alan Stabler and Shirley Lochamy to executive vice president, and Mike Northrup, Audra Weber, Phil Boozer, Teresa Owens and Kevin Morris to senior vice presidents. Trish Lacey, Lori Smith, Chance Hallmark, Mark Shaddix, Denise Vasut, Nancy Rice, Karen Deluca, Robin Moore and Kyndie Huey were also promoted.
The Alabama Department of Commerce has named Ted Clem its director of business development. Clem’s senior management team will include Bob Smith as assistant director of business development – European strategy and Hollie Pegg as assistant director of business development – Asia strategy.
The International Services Council of Alabama has named Auburn University at Montgomery Professor James Nathan Citizen Diplomat of the Year.
Wallace State Community College Nursing Department head Deborah “Pepper” Hoover has received Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce’s Healthcare Professional of the Year award.
Auburn University Professor James Hansen has received the U.S. Golf Association's Herbert Warren Wind Book Award for 2014 for his most recent biography, "A Difficult Par: Robert Trent Jones Sr. and the Making of Modern Golf."
Camber Corp., of Huntsville, has named Philip Nolan CEO. He succeeds co-founder Walter Batson, who will continue to serve as chairman of the board of directors.
Project Design Group Inc. Mechanical and Project Engineer John Hailey Jr. has been chosen as Engineering Manager of the Year for 2015 by the Mobile Area Council of Engineers.
The State of Alabama Engineering Hall of Fame has inducted its 2015 class, including Clint Coleman, Michael DeMaioribus, J. David Irwin, Joseph Miller and Stephen Moxley.

Neeysa Biddle has been named senior vice president, Ascension Health and Birmingham market executive. In this role, she becomes CEO of St. Vincent’s Health System.
Alfa Insurance District Manager Buddy McDanal, of Opelika, was named the Alabama Manager of the Year. He also earned the Distinguished Sales Award – Gold Level at the company’s annual awards ceremony.
Lacey Smith has become a partner in Armbrecht Jackson LLP. She has been with the firm since 2007 and practices in the area of general civil litigation.
Jennifer Brinkley has joined Bradley Arant Boult Cummings LLP’s Huntsville office as a member of the construction and procurement practice group and government contracts practice group.
